Ahmadinejad to attend NPT Review Conference 2010

The United Nations will be holding its 2010 NPT Review Conference at its headquarters in New York during May 3-28. The review conference is held every five years aimed to evaluate and ensure that NPT provisions are being realized. The conference will be chaired by the President-elect of the Review Conference, Libran N. Cabactulan, the Ambassador of Philippines. State Department spokesperson P.J. Crowley has confirmed that Iranian delegation has applied for US visa in Bern (Switzerland) and indicated that they are likely to be approved. Israel-First, Hillary Clinton will lead the US delegation and is scheduled to be the fifth speaker on the opening day while Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki will be the seventh.

The 118-strong Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) states are planning to use the coming NPT Conference to turn the heat on the Zionist entity which refuses to sign NPT Charter and allegedly posseses between 240-400 nuclear bombs. Israel daily Jerusalem Post (April 14, 2010) reported that US President Barack Obama while calling every country to join NPT – dogded a question regarding Israel’s nuclear program. Tel Aviv’s top Arab ally, Egypt’s Ambassador at UN, Maged Abdel Aziz, said on Tuesday that Israel must sign NPT to defuse nuclear tension in the Middle East. Out of 189 UN members only Israel, India, Pakistan and North Korea are not signatory to NPT. N. Korea originally joined NPT but later withdrew.

Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has again advised western powers and United Nations Security Council members that sanctions against Islamic Republic would not be helpful and the only solution to resolve this crisis should be a diplomatic one.China, Russia as well as other leading major countries also propose diplomatic solution to Israel’s war cry against Tehran. In another lie about Iran’s so-called “expansionist policy” – Pentagon in its April report – had claimed that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps’ (listed as a “terrorist organization” by Washington) Qods force is involved in training several North American security forces especially in Venezuela. In response to these allegations, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said: “Look at what they’re saying that if the US applies sanctions to Iran – these forces that are here – that’s something absolutely false – could attack US territory or interests through terrorist acts. Tell me this is not an open threat by the US government against Venezuela once again using falsification and lies?”

Iranian President Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has attended almost every UN internation forum to expose Zionist Hasbara (propaganda) lies about the Islamic Republic in the past. The Jewish Week (April 29, 2010) reported that several Jewish groups including Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, are planning protest marches against Dr. Ahmadinejad’s expected visit to New York.. Some Jewish groups are even considering civil disobedience to draw attention. Abraham Foxman, national director ADL said that his organization will begin calling its diplomatic contacts on Thursday and urge their nations to walk out if Ahmadinejad is allowed to address the gathering.

The 2005 NPT Review Conference was widely regarded failure due to Washington’s refusal to discuss Israel’s nuclear program while blaming Iranian nuclear program as a great threat to world security. The five bullies with veto-power at the UNSC – have turned most of United Nations Watchdog groups nothing but part of international circus. After 42 years the signing the NPT, there still exist close to 23,000 nuclear weapons and the nuclear powers have increased from five to nine – but ‘the monster’ is Islamic Republic which may join the nuclear club in the distant future. During Dr. Ahmadinejad’s 2005 visit to New York, he was received by anti-Zionist Jewish Rabbis who threw their support behind Tehran’s policy toward Israel (watch video below).
