The University Chancellor Charles Reed ignored the opposition by 127 US academics to reinstating the program was led by California  State Northridge professor David Klein, many from CSUN. One of the signatories, Long Beach Professor Emerita Sherna Gluck says: “I cannot support cooperation with Israeli universities and certainly cannot endorse our CSU students attending these institutions any more than I supported exchanges with South African apartheid universities.”

In late 2009, 389 signatories endorsed a letter to UC Davis Provost William Lacy protesting the system-wise reinstatement on the grounds that the program would be inheretly discriminatory Muslims and Arab students.

The Campus Watch, a Philadelphia-based, Israel Hasbara (propaganda in Hebrew) website, has long been campaigning against Dr. David Klein for his criticisim of Israel’s Zionazi policies. The website is run by the Middle East Forum, to monitor US college campuses for academic pro-Palestinian bias and happenings. It publishes dossiers on professors, as well as some examples of their writings.

The Campus Watch encourages students to snitch on their professors. It has a whole section dedicated to student reports. The Campus Watch is essentially forming a paramilitary thought police, a private TIPS program for pro-Israeli advocates.

Dr. Klein is also accused of ‘anti-Semitism’ by organizations such as ‘Never Again Canada’ and ‘AMCHA‘ who seek to impose their pro-Israel, pro-Zionist politics upon the California State University. There is no content on his website that could even arguably be labeled ‘anti-Semitic’ without the offensive conflation of Jews and Jewishness with the State of Israel, its government, and its motivating ideology, Zionism. This is not the first occasion of organized pro-Israel lobbies and groups targeting faculty and students for their advocacy for Palestine. From battles over tenure faced by extraordinarily qualified Palestinian professors to unjust firings or demotions of faculty who have spoken in support of Palestine, efforts to intimidate professors are increasing.

Dr. David Klein, a renowned Jewish professor of Mathematics, is listed at the “Self-Hating Israel-Threatening (S.H.I.T)” Jewish list where he is credited for saying: “Israelis the most racist state in the world at this time. Support for Israel must stop. In pursuit of a Zionist agenda,Israel has followed a 60-year program of ethnic cleansing, including expulsion of the Palestinian population, military occupation, and mass murder. The attack of Gaza is only the latest in a long history of crimes against humanity. Israel avoids peace because peace interferes with territorial expansion and ethnic cleaning“.

“It would be better to pray in a mosque and do so with meaning and after the sun rises, rather than at home, at dawn or at the airport and without meaning. Of course this solution is not perfect, but it’s the best option. There is no prohibition in praying in mosques,” – Israeli daily YNet, February 13, 2011.

Masjid Al-Iman in Parkchester (East Bronx) has put that in practice by allowing Chabad Jews to pray inside the mosque on regular basis. It shows centuries-old Islamic tolerance toward other religions at the time when mosques are torched and vandalized by Zionist Jew-Christian-Hindus around the world.

“People have a misconception that Muslims hate Jews. But here is an example of them working with us,” says Yaakov Wayne Baumann who performs his Jewish prayers at the Masjid Al-Iman on regular basis. The mosque is established by Imam Sheikh Moussa Drammeh 49 – an immigrant from Gambia in West Africa.

Bronx which used to home to over 600,000-strong Jewish community – has lost most of its members to Israel. In 2002, the Jewish population dropped to 46,000. On the other hand the Muslim population of the borough is increasing due to Afro-American residents’ conversion to Islam and new emmigration from African countries. Currently, there are five Muslim worship places in Bronx including the Al-Iman mosque.

All Jewish rabbis are not Islam-hating Zionazis. For example, Rabbi Haim Ovadia at of Kahal Joseph Congregation in Los Angeles, California, in 2008 had claimed himself to be a Jew of Islam.

“I am a Jew of Islam because Judaism under the rule of the crescent took a different course than that under the rule of the cross. The Jews of Islam, although decreed by the Pact of Omar as dhimmis, or second class citizens, never experienced the same level of hatred, anti-Semitism and persecution which were their daily bread in Christendom. They were not demonized as god killers and did not have to defend their religion in public disputations. They were not expelled en-masse on religious grounds from a Muslim country as they were from England, France and Catholic Spain,” wrote Rabbi Haim Ovadia.

Last year, a well-known Jewish poet and historian, Tamam Kahn, published a biography of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), entitled ‘UNTOLD: A History of the Wives of Prophet Muhammad‘ in which she praised his great tolerance towards other Abrahamic religions by marrying among Jews (Juwayriya bint al-Harith and Safiyya bint Huyayy) and Christians (Maria al-Qibtiyya).

In 2010, Hebrew-speaking Israeli Muslim physician Dr. Izseldin Abuelaish, wrote a book, entitled ‘I shall not hate‘ in memory of his three daughters and a niece mudered by Jewish rockets while sleeping in their Gaza home.

American Jewish photographer and producer of documentary, ‘God’s House‘, Norman Gershman says: “To me Islam is poetry, is science, is to be with the Divine. Islam is beauty“. The documentary is based on the stories of Jewish families who were saved by Albanian Muslims by putting their lives at risk.

French presidential election is due in April. According to an Ifop poll results released on Tuesday Socialist candidate Francois Hollande leading with 29% followed by current French president Nicolas Sarkozy (23%) and Front National’s Marine Le Pen (18%). Both Francois Hollande and Sarkozy are reportedly Jewish. Francois Hollande replaced the disgraced former Jewish head of IMF Dominique Strauss-Kahn. 

Francois Hollande dumped his former common-law  (live-in together) wife, Marie-Segolene Royal (born 1953) not long ago. She, as Socialist candidate was defeated by Nicolas Sarkozy in 2007 presidential election. Both have four children from their relationship. Currently, Francois Hollande has a new girlfriend, Valérie Trieweiler, a political journalist.

The Front National (FN) is an anti-Muslim, anti-immigration White Supremacist party. It was founded by Jean-Marie Le Pen in 1972 and was leader of the party until 2011 when he passed-on the leadership to his daughter Marine Le Pen. Jean-Marie Le Pen is considered a Holocaust-denier by Jewish groups based on 1987 TV interview in which he questioned Holocaust by calling the gas chambers being a “detail” or a “minor point” of WW II.

Marine Le Pen has brought several changes to FN and even has leaned toward Islamophobia to attract Jewish votes. She recently sent her deputy Louis Aliot to Israel in order to drum up support among more than 70,000 French Jewish voters (dual citizen) living in Israel.

Though the daughter has distanced herself from her father’s remarks – the CRIF, the umbrella Jewish organization of France has not forgiven her. The Jewish leaders fear that Marine Le Pen might change her stand after winning the election and distance France from Israel.

Jews are less than 500,000 (on decrease since 1970 when they’re  530,000) among 65 million total French population. French Muslim religious community is the largest in Europe (over 7 million).
