On February 2, 2010 – Bangladesh prime minister Hasina Mujib’s government won the approval of the country’s Supreme Court to annul the 1975 constitutional amendment which had dropped secularism as the principle of governance from the 1972 Constitution. The decision will allow her secular Awami Leaugue to marginalize its opponent religion-based parties such as Jama’at-e-Islami. Last month, five people allegedly involved in the August 25, 1975 millitary coup, which resulted in the death of Hasina’s father Sheikh Mujiburehman’s (the Founder of Bangladesh) entire family with exception of his daughters who were out of the country at the time of the coup – were executed.
In April 1979, Maj. General Ziaur Rahman’s government decided to distance itself from the pro-India Awami League’s direction for the future of the country. The traditional Islamic introductory statement “Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim (in the name of allah, the Beneficient and Merciful)” was added to the Constitution – while the rhetoric of so-called slogans of “secularism, nationalism, socialism and democracy” were replaced with “absolute trust in Almighty Allah, nationalism, democracy and socialism meaning economic and social justic”.
Islamic teachings are against nationalism – as it believes in the brotherhood of the entire humanity. Secularim is also against the teachings of Islam because secularism gives humans some of the powers of the Creator (Allah). Islam is the first faith which commanded for the establishment of a world-wide society based on economic and social justice over 1400 years ago. Muslims have practiced sort of ‘democracy’ in the past and currently they’re practicing it in Iran and Lebanon. In reality – the democracy “for the people by the people” – is not practiced in any of the western countries. Their political process is controlled by the pro-Israel and other Jewish lobby groups.
Naturally, with the return of anti-Islam Awami-leaguers back in power – India’s communal leaders hidding behind their fake “secular constitution” – along with their ‘helpers’ (the US, Israel, etc.) are showing their pleasure of seeing another Muslim government joining them in their crusade against Islam.
Ninety percent of 159 million (2007 Census) Bangladeshis (former East Pakistanis) are Muslims and the remaining are Hindus (9 %) with small Buddhist and Christian communities. The British East Bengal (East Pakistan) along with the other four provinces (West Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and the Frontier) gained independence from the British Raj on August 14, 1947 based on the principle that the new country would be governed under Islamic Shari’ah with equal rights for all the minorities. However, soon after the partition the Hindu and Muslim secular elites started using Bangla language and Bangla nationalism to sabotage the newly born state becoming a united Islamic state.
And how beautiful “nationalism, secularism, socialism and democracy” is – Balaji Ravichandran, an Indian Hindu, experienced that in London (UK) a few days ago while traveling in a public bus:
“Hey Paki ….. did not you listen to Prince Hary? Get the f*** out of this country, you brown monkey.”
“Fairer than other Pakis …. maybe his mum was a slut.”
“You stink … like the rest of them do …. soaked in curry, did ya?”
“Mowgli, you get paid in bannas or tikka masalas?”
