“Every time anyone says that Israel is our only friend in the Middle East, I can not help but think, that before (there was) Israel, we had no enemies in the Middle East,” Father John Sheehan of the Jesuit Order.
Abraham Foxman, Boss of pro-Israel Jewish lobby group, Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has blamed Zionist-controlled Obama administration for underminig Middle East peace instead of the radical Jewish government in Tel Aviv. “This administration has bought into this concept – even Joe Biden’s language, that if we don’t resolve this conflict American soldiers will die – that’s the worst of that fallacy. When the secretary of state then says that it harms the bilateral relationship – what happens between the Palestinians and Israelis impacts American security. The solution of the problem is in Baghdad, Kabul, Tehran, maybe in Riyadh and Cairo. Not in Jerusalem,” quoted Israeli daily Ha’aretz, March 15, 2010.
Interestingly, Joe Klein doesn’t buy Abe Foxman’s rhetoric about Islamic Resistance Hamas or Islamic Iran being obstacles to the Middle East peace process. In his July 20, 2009 blog at ‘Swampland’, he wrote: “Benjamin Netanyahu’s phony flexibility on two-state was always transparent – and it’s now becoming apparent the Israel is the prime impediment to progress in the Middle East……. It’s time for Netanyahu – who recently called David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel “self-hating Jews” – to recognize that the Bush neoconservative-evangelical alliance is gone. It’s time for him to adjust to the new diplomatic reality”.
The current media hipe about Joe Biden being insulted by Benjamin Netanyahu’s latest announcement of the construction of 1600 new homes in Arab East Jerusalem is nothing but a cover-up for the bitter message Biden conveyed to the radical Jew. The message was based on Gen. David Petraeus, CENTCOM commander’s staff briefing to Admiral Michael Mullen, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff in January 2010 which highlighted that the radical Jewish government’s constant rubbing Obama administration nose has eradicated America’s position amongst the western puppet regimes in the Arab world, who see “America incapable of standing up to Israel. America is not only viewed as weak, but its military posture in the region is eroding”. Based on the briefing, the stunned Mullen recommended that the White House make that point clear to the Zionist regime.
According to Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Biden told Netanyahu in a private meeting: “This is starting to get dangerous for us. What you’re doing here undermines the security of our forces which are fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. That endagers us and endangers the peace in the region. Since many people in the Muslim world perceived a connection between Israel’s actions and US policy….”
Israel Lobby (AIPAC) in its statement has shown its great concern over the “misunderstanding” between the two friends and demaded that Obama administration to “take immediate steps to defuse the tension” with the Zionist regime. It also reminded Washington the old Israeli Hasbara crap: “Israel is America’s closet ally in the Middle East. The foundation of US-Israel relationship is rooted in America’s fundamental strategic interest, shared democratic values, and a long-time commitment to peace in the region. Those strategic interests, which we share with Israel, extend to every facet of American life and our relationship with the Jewish state (?), which enjoys vast bipartisn support in the Congress and the american people”.
Stephen Lendman in article titled Peace Process Hypocrisy: Stillborn from Inception, wrote:
“Provisionally, Washington recognizes and independent Palestine, and under UN Charter Article 80 (1), cannot reverse its position by vetoing UNSC resolutions calling for for its UN admission. Doing so is illegal and subject to UNSC action under the Charter’s Section VI. The Security Council recommends admissions. The General Assembly reaffirms them by two-third majority. In December 1988, it did so for Palestine, and at the same time called for dismantling Jewish settlements and ending Israeli occupation of Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Pressured by the Israel Lobby, Washington’s prevailing view is that Israel is vital to US Middle East dominance, part of a plan to control all Eurasia with 75% of world population, most of its resources and physical wealth and three-fourth of its energy reserves – the grandest of grand prizes, too valuable to slip away, and one not to let peace obstruct.
With full US support, has ignored over five dozens UN resolutions condemning or censoring it for its actions against the Palestinians or other Arab states, deploring it for committing them, or demanding, calling on, or urging Israel to end them. To the present, Israel never did, acting with impunity to obstruct peace, continue conflict, and deny Palestinians a sovereign independent state or a viable one-state solution for all its people.
There isn’t , nor there has ever been a viable peace process. Given Washington-Israel rejectionism, talks are charade, nothing else. Even Jo Biden in his latest call for the resumption of peace talk in Tel Aviv, repeated the same mantra – The talks in good faith, not with the duly elected government of Hamas, but with the Abbas-led coup d’etat one under Fatah.”
Watch an Israeli Hasbara video in which an Israeli woman wants the world to leave her country alone so it can grab more Arab land and kill more Native people.
