Leon Panetta predicts new riots in Iran

On July 22, 2011 – Jewish daily FORWARD wrote:”Four decades in the political limelight have made newly minted secretary of defense Leon Panetta a familiar and trusted figure to the Jewish and pro-Israeli communities. during his recently completed stint as CIA director, Panetta worked closely with Israeli intelligence, which reportedly has shared information about Iran and about terror threats”.

On Tuesday, Leon Panetta said on the Charlie Rose TV show that the people behind the 2009 Green Revolution are learning from the revolts in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Syria. “I think we saw in evidence of that in the last election in Iran that there was a movement within Iran that raised those very same concerns that we’re seeing elsewhere. And I think in many ways, it’s a matter of time before that kind of change and reform and revolution occurs in Iran as well,” predicted Panetta.

From Leon’s pro-Israel past career, one can guess who is putting words in his mouth.

Interestingly, Panetta’s predecessor, Robert Gate, found out a little before his retirement that Israel has never been America’s faithful ally. After Benji Netanyahu’s triumphant visit to Congress – Gates told Barack Obama that Netanyahu is not only ungrateful but also is endangering his country by refusing to grapple with Israel’s growing isolation and with the demographic challenges it faces if it keeps control of the West Bank.

On September 3, 2011 – Hossein Shariatmadari, editor-in-chief Iran’s daily Keyhan told a student gathering that EU embassies in Tehran have prepared a series of plots to stir tension and spark unrest during the upcoming Majlis elections in 2012.

“Today, a chain of all European embassies in Iran have devoted the main pivot of their activities to Iran’s 9th parliamentary election in a bid to create a challenge for our security,” said Shariatmadari.

“One of the networks, whose members were arrested on Ashoura day riots, had contacts with German intelligence service through the country’s diplomats,” Heidar Moslehi, Iran’s lintelligence minister said recently.

In response, millions of Iranian people took part in massive rallies in Tehran and other cities across the country to voice their strong support for the country’s Islamic establishment and Supreme Leader and condemn insults to Imam Hossein (AS) by those who took to the streets on December 27.

Islamic Iran doesn’t shares borders with the Zionist entity or the US. The US has a stockpile of 9,000 nuclear bombs whereas the Zionist regime has 240-400 nuclear bombs. Now, the question is why every American, Canadian and European leaders have to claim that a nuclear Iran will pose a threat to the world?

The logical answer – Shia Iran backs the Palestinian resistance to Zionist occupation at every level, often at a very high cost to itself, out of its Islamic duty even though Palestinians are 100% Sunnis. The Arab Sunni regimes on the other hand are known to turn a blind eye to the suffocation of the Palestinian resistance. Like these Sunni regimes, Iran too could cut a deal with US-Israel and backstab the Palestinians in many ways if it decide to join the western civilized world.
